I am a big believer of corporate blogging, or rather the biggest drivers behind this: openess and interactivity. Drivers that can also result in other tools like corportate wiki’s or corporate social networks. The general marketing thought is the same. Day before yesterday Boris and Patrick visited our -as they say- big, shiny and expensive office in Amsterdam to talk about our Innovation Awards program. Boris wrote a nice piece on our discussions. Although I do not agree with all he writes (I see myself more as an innovator/entrepreneur than manager), he makes a good point.

Accenture is organizing the Innovation Awards for the second time. Last year’s jury voted Hyves (most innovative company) and Sellaband (‘best’ innovative concept) as most promising innovations in the Dutch Media and Entertainment industry and received the ‘Blauwe Tulp’ (Blue Tulip) award. Ikoptv was awarded with the ‘Publieksprijs’ (Public’s price).

This year, the award for ’best’ innovative concept and the ‘Publieksprijs’ will be maintained. Next to the Dutch Media and Entertainment industry, the Dutch Communication industry will now also be invited to participate. Because of the industry’s rapid changing market everyone – so also last year’s concepts – can subscribe and has a chance to win the ‘Blauwe Tulp’ award.

The winning concept has the privilege to name itself the ‘best’ innovative concept in the Dutch M&C industry for one year. Besides that, various PR activities will be undertaken to enhance the brand awareness of the concept. So to all innovators - submit your concepts here!

We’re teaming now with the guys from The Next Web for this edition. They have a great eye for innovation and have a platform that links well with the Innovation Awards program. Besides that, they’re fun guys to work with. Looking forward to the next few months on this.

My great colleague Richard Wilkinson, who I met at LeWeb3 in Paris last year, could not keep his hands off his computer during the holidays last week. He loaded the Accenture Office Locations in Google Maps and Google Earth. Some minor errors, but the result is already a pre-trip destination we can all use. Thanks Richard.

Accenture is a global umbrella sponsor of the World Golf Championships and the title sponsor of the series’ season-opening event, the Accenture Match Play Championship. With a display of amazing skills, Tiger won his third Match Play Championship on Sunday. The 36-hole championship match was the largest margin of victory in a final in the 10-year history of the World Golf Championships (WGC) event.

His other Accenture Match Play Championship wins were also against Americans, David Toms (2003) and Davis Love III (2004). lees verder…

Dit is de titel van het onderzoeksrapport dat gisteravond gepresenteerd werd door Wouter Koetzier en Shikko Nijland, respectievelijk Strategy Consulting Lead en Corporate Strategy Lead van Accenture Nederland.

Accenture Nederland heeft gedurende 2007 een uitgebreid onderzoek uitgevoerd naar de prestaties van alle AEX-bedrijven in Nederland, vergeleken met die van hun buitenlandse concurrenten, over de periode van 2000 tot en met 2006. lees verder…
