Accenture is proud to present the nominees for the Innovation Awards 2009 People’s Choice.

This is the third year that Dutch and Belgian companies in the Media, Entertainment, Communication and High Tech industry compete for the awards. Through these Innovation Awards, Accenture provides insight into the innovativeness of these industries, recognizes the true innovative firms, and brings companies together to discover new opportunities for cooperation, co-development and cross-fertilization.

In the past months, the jury has studied over 250 concepts across seven categories: Business to Business, Connected Devices, Gaming, Lifestyle, Mobile, Web en Green concept. In my previous post I announced the third edition of the Accenture Innovation Awards in the Netherlands, with the official opening of the call for entries. The award recognizes innovative leaders from the Media, Communications and High Tech industry active on the Dutch market. The awards also provides insights into the most recent innovative developments in these industries.

The call for entries has alrady been quite a success: in a matter of only a few weeks we received more than 200 submissions! To keep this momentum going and to enable the candidates who only just learned of this award to participate as well, the organization has decided to extend the submission period to Sunday August 16.

Until that day companies that fit the profile above can submit their own most innovative concepts on this website: www.innovation-awards.nl. You can also tip and point the organizing committee to a great concept you know and we should be aware of.

An expert jury will evaluate all concepts on their innovativeness, success and growth potential.  The winners of the ”Blue Tulip” will be honoured during the Innovation Seminar in October.
