Hello All! Just 2 more days and my adventure will start! Tuesday I will depart for China. I am fully prepared. I finished my training schedule, arranged all there was to arrange. Only action still to do before my departure is packing.

In this update I will give you the final facts. Also I have some pictures and info regarding the construction of the primary school in Sichuan. THAT’S WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT! Making a fundamental difference! But first the facts:

• Start of the China Bike Ride: 6 days
• Fund raising final balance Charity Event: RMB 681,229 (appr. USD 100,000)
• Fund raising target Charity Event: RMB 560,000 (appr. USD 82,500)
• Personal fund raising balance: RMB 57,261 (appr. USD 8,400) –> Thank you all for the donations!!! You really made a difference!
• Personal fund target: USD 3,000 (stretched target USD 10,000)
• Exercised: 2,800 km = appr. 125 hrs
• Still to exercise: 0 km
• All vaccinations have been completed
• All flights are booked
• Visa has been arranged
• Hotels have been booked

Accenture Sichuan Hope School Construction Progress Update
As of 2^nd week of September, everything goes smoothly for Sichuan Hope School construction.  The interior and exterior decoration is being conducted; the adjustment to playground and bounding wall are in the final stage; and the furniture and facilities are ready for installing.
Due to the raining season in July and August, the project was behind schedule. In order to meet the rationale of ‘quality priority; safety priority’, the project decided to delay the project for two weeks, in order to leave a reasonable time slot for drying.
According to the latest progress, the acceptance will be conducted at the end of September, and it is planned to have the kids moving into the new building in October.

I will bring a photo camera and a video camera. This should be able to give a good impression of the Bike Ride. I don’t know if I will be able to update this blog during the trip. Let’s hope so!
